When will I know if I got a scholarship?

Award notification is usually made about 30 days from the application deadline via email whether you are a scholarship recipient or not.

What should I use as my program start date?

This is the date classes begin in country (not travel or orientation dates).

When do I get my scholarship check?

All Foundation for Global Scholars award disbursements are made after verification of participation, in country for one full week in the said study abroad program and full payment of your program fees. Checks will be paid directly to students upon receipt of above confirmations as outlined in award emails. Award disbursement dates are not fixed and may, in fact, be after programs begin.

Do you accept electronic transcripts?

Yes, electronic transcripts are accepted.

Can I apply for the STA Travel Scholarship if I do not have one of the areas of study listed?

Your area of study should be one of those listed.
